Full Moon Rising

Tonight’s full moon is the Gathering Moon.

Time to celebrate all we have accomplished.

Set intentions for the coming spring.

And recognize our own personal achievements and advancements.

This is good for me.

Because I find too often that my own inner guide still bends to the other, my own worst critic.

Time for that to stop.

The bitch needs to go.

Surrounded by mountains and sky and hoot owls and coyotes, I think I know, maybe, why I am here.

I thought the big city landscape was the territory I needed to brave.

Survive that, conquer that, and I am whole.

I thought.

Turns out it is the still uncharted territory inside that calls to be explored.

I think this is probably one of the most honest and introspective peices you’ve written. The fact that you were able to capture the essence in just a few sentences astounds me, but then again I should know to never be amazed at what you can accomplish because baby, you are just getting started and you are on a roll. Proud of you. Absolutely love this piece/peace of you!

The moonrise last night was incredibly beautiful and incredibly inspiring. Much more so than the photos came to show. I think it was the best I have seen in my life (thus far). Thanks for this.

“I find too often that my own inner guide still tries to be my own worst critic”

Wow without getting too deep I will say I know what you are saying and am proud that you see a way to deal with this feeling.

I really enjoyed this post and know now that since you pointed out the Gathering moon that all is going to be OK, in all reality you have to be happy with your own accomplishments because if you are not then no one elses opinion matters, the uncharted territory inside will be a pleasant suprise because you are going to do well no matter where you are.

Thank You

Thanks Jimmy. I found that my heart and my soul were on different paths. My heart wanted LA and my soul wanted Ojai. So here we are. I am in awe of it all. Can’t wait to read more about your wife’s new horse!

I love this raw, image-filled, symbolic post. It’s beautiful. Love the moon. We missed it last night with all of the cloud cover that didn’t pass until the wee hours.

I saw the moon light on the snow when I go up in the dark. I had no perspective on the moon itself.
Very interesting post, and you left a very interesting comment on my blog.
Thank you,
Greg

Seeing the moon always reminds me to be quiet. I’m rarely quiet. It really is something that needs to be practiced and practiced and practiced some more. Lovely post.
